No change to Celtic team for Champions League clash against Leipzig

Celtic are in Germany for their third Champions League game.

Ange Postecoglou has named the same starting line-up from the team that beat Motherwell 2-1 at Celtic Park on Saturday for their Champions League game against RB Leipzig.

So that means Joe Hart starts in goals behind a defence of Josip Juranovic, Stephen Welsh, Moritz Jenz and Greg Taylor for the third game in a row with Carter-Vickers and Starfelt still missing.

Captain Callum McGregor is joined by Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley in a three-man midfield supporting the attacking trio of Jota, Daizen Maeda and Kyogo.

Celtic go into the game with one Champions League point to their name following a home defeat to Real Madrid and an away draw with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Postecoglou knows his side will be taking a massive step towards qualification if they take anything from Leipzig with two home games still remaining in the group.

Real Madrid host Shakhtar Donetsk in Group F’s other game.

If Real Madrid win their next three games in the group, then the Hoops will only need two home wins against Shakthar and Leipzig to qualify for the last 16.
