New First Minister Humza Yousaf has hailed Scotland’s “stunning” win over Spain at Hampden.

Steve Clarke’s men ran out 2-0 winners to go three points clear at the top of Group A.

Scott McTominay scored a double as the Scots turned in a polished performance to make it two wins out of two in their quest to reach Euro 2024.

Taking to Twitter after the full-time whistle Yousaf said: “Stunning result, well done Scotland”

Yousaf was sworn in as Scotland’s sixth First Minister on Tuesday after winning the SNP leadership election to replace Nicola Sturgeon.

He beat Kate Forbes and Ash Regan to the role.

Scotland will now travel to Norway for their next group game in the summer.

Meanwhile the outgoing FM also tweeted her joy at the famous win saying “Scotland are on fire”.
