Swansea are closing in on Motherwell midfielder Elijah Just in what is set to be a record sale for the club.
The New Zealand international, who scored three goals at the World Cup, travelled to the Championship club for a medical on Monday.
In what will become Motherwell’s current transfer record for a player, the deal is understood to be worth in the region of £5m, including add-ons.
It is set to eclipse the fee paid for Lennon Miller, who left for Serie A side Udinese last summer.
The 26-year-old, who scored seven goals in 30 Scottish Premiership appearances last season, was a crucial part of Jens Berthel-Askou’s side in an impressive campaign for Motherwell.
The move comes just two days after fellow midfielder Elliot Watt completed a permanent transfer to Turkish side Samsunspor.
