Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has made one change from the team that lost 2-1 to St Johnstone for their game against Hearts at Ibrox.

Rabbi Matondo comes in for Fashion Sakala as the under-fire Dutchman resisted the temptation to make wholesale changes from Sunday’s defeat in Perth as they hope to cut the gap at the top of the Premiership.

Allan McGregor is in goals with Captain James Tavernier at his usual right-back position with King, Davies and Barisic making up the back four.

Sands and Lundstram start in midfield with Malik Tillman supporting Ryan Kent, Matondo and Antonio Colak up top.

They go into the game seven points off league leaders Celtic with pressure building on the manager following a dismal run of results in Europe and domestically.

Meanwhile Hearts are looking to move up to third in the table with a win in Glasgow that would put them six points behind Rangers in second.

Robbie Neilson starts with Craig Gordon in goals behind Smith, Rowles, Sibbick, Atkinson, Cochrane, Halliday, Ginnelly, Snodgrass and Shankland.

The Tynecastle club beat Motherwell 3-2 in Edinburgh on Sunday thanks to a last-minute goal by Shankland.
