Hibernian FC confirmed on Saturday that it has reached an agreement with Al-Faisaly for the transfer of Martin Boyle.
The 29-year-old Australian attacker left Hibs in January to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly, but is now set to return to Edinburgh’s Easter Road.
In recent months Boyle, who joined Hibs seven years ago from Dundee, said he would jump at the chance of a second stint with the club.
Announcing the news, a statement from Hibs said: “We can confirm that Hibernian FC has come to an agreement with Al-Faisaly FC for the transfer of Martin Boyle.
“We will announce Boyle back to the Hibernian FC faithful on Sunday ahead of our game against Hearts, so make sure you arrive 15 minutes early.
“Further information regarding the transfer and Boyle’s contract will be revealed to supporters in due course.
“Everyone at Hibernian FC is delighted to see Boyle return to the Club!”
A statement from Al-Faisaly on Saturday morning read: “The club’s management has agreed to an offer from Scottish club Hibernian on the transfer of Australian first-team player Martin Boyle, wishing him more success.”
