Rangers are set to appoint former Scotland international Leanne Crichton as the new head coach of their women’s team.

The current Glasgow City assistant boss is in line to take over from Jo Potter, who left for Crystal Palace after winning the cup double last season, but falling just short in the SWPL.

Crichton earned 72 international caps during her playing career, which included time at clubs such as Celtic, Hibernian, and Notts County.

She spent most of her career at City, with three spells at the Petershill Park club, before ending her playing days with Motherwell two years ago.

Rangers finished third in the Scottish Women’s Premier League last season, six points behind eventual winners Hibernian.

They kick off the 2025/26 campaign away to Montrose on August 17.
