Kilmarnock have signed Corrie Ndaba on a permanent deal from Ipswich as the defender returns following a successful loan-spell.
The 24-year-old Irishman spent last season at Rugby Park and played 37 games across all three competitions as Derek McInnes’ men finish fourth in the Premiership and reach quarter-finals of both cups.
He has now returned to Ayrshire to put pen to paper on a three-year-deal ahead of the new campaign.
The club confirmed the signing on Tuesday.
A statement released on their website said: “We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Corrie Ndaba, pending approval.
“The defender joins from Ipswich on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
“Ndaba made 37 appearances for us last season and he’s raring to get going in Ayrshire once again.”
Speaking to the club’s official website Ndaba said: “I am delighted to be back, I am really happy to get it over the line.
“It’s always Kilmarnock I wanted to come to, other teams were interested but obviously I have a good relationship with the manager and speaking to him helped me decide this is a good step in my career and can help me push forward.
“Last season was the best of my career, we had a really good year and obviously qualified for Europe, I hope we can do that again.
“That’s the aim for me, I want to keep pushing on and hopefully the club can push on.”
Killie, who kick off their Premiership season against champions Celtic on Sunday, drew 1-1 with Cercle Brugge last week in their Europa League qualifier.
They now travel to Belgium for the second-leg on Thursday as they look to continue their European journey.
