Kilmarnock have signed Christian Doidge on loan from Hibernian until the end of the season.
The Welsh forward links up with Derek McInnes’ side ahead of transfer deadline day after being told he was free to leave Easter Road on a temporary deal.
The 30-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in Leith after missing a large chunk of last season with an Achilles problem.
Doidge has not scored in the Premiership since the 3-0 win over Ross County last August, but did net a hat-trick in the 5-0 thrashing of Clyde in the Premier Sports Cup.
The target man will compete with former Hibs teammate Oli Shaw and ex-Hearts and Rangers forward Kyle Lafferty for a starting slot at Rugby Park.
The move does leave the Hibees without a huge amount of depth in attack as Elias Melkersen and Kevin Nisbet continue their comeback from respective injuries.
Gambian forward Momodou Bojang has been restricted to a handful of appearances off the bench, while winger Martin Boyle and fellow frontman Elie Youan are still bedding into the squad after their summer moves.
Doidge scored 38 times in 120 appearances for Hibs since joining from Forest Green Rovers in 2019.
