Kilmarnock have had their 2-0 League Cup win over East Kilbride overturned after admitting to playing a suspended player in the tie.
The lowland league club have now been handed a 3-0 victory for the group stage game that took place last Saturday.
Daniel Armstrong played the last 18 minutes of the game despite still being under a suspension picked up last season while he was at Raith Rovers.
The matter was heard by a disciplinary panel on Thursday who decided that the Rugby Park club would forfeit the tie as a result of the rule breach.
Armstrong replaced Chris Burke on the 72nd minute with the scoreline already sitting at 2-0.
Kilmarnock have also been fined £5000, suspended until June 30, 2022, and warned over future conduct.
Tommy Wright’s men will now fall to the bottom of group G after one game played, with East Kilbride taking the top spot with four points from two.
Stranraer, Clyde and Greenock Morton make up the rest of the group.
