Jordan Jones has signed for Wigan from Rangers on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international joined the Ibrox club from Kilmarnock in 2019, playing a total of 19 games, scoring one goal.

Jones, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, told Latics TV: “It’s been in the pipeline for a few weeks so I’m just thankful to be here and I cannot wait to get started and kick on.

“I spoke to the manager and a few of the players and it just seems that there is such a positive vibe around the place at the minute and that’s something that I want to be a part of.

“They’ve got a clear vision with how they want to play football; playing attacking football and getting as many results as we can.”

A statement on Rangers’ official website concluded: “Rangers wish Jordan well for the future and in his move to Lancashire.”
