Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has been discharged from hospital, but it remains unclear when he will return to the dugout.

Goodwin missed his side’s 4-0 Premiership victory against Kilmarnock on Saturday, after taking ill and being admitted to hospital on Thursday.

The 44-year-old is now recovering at home.

Assistant Lee Sharp took charge for the game at Rugby Park, and will do so again for tomorrow’s match at Fir Park.

Lee Sharp said “He’s out of hospital, he’s back home recovering.

“He’s just waiting on direction from the doctors etc to where he goes from there.”

When asked on when Goodwin might return, Sharp said: “He’d be back just now if he could be, if he was allowed.

“Nothing as yet, we’re in constant dialogue so he’ll let me know as soon as”.
