Rangers coach Issame Charai is taking training on Monday following the sacking of Philippe Clement.
The Moroccan will be in the dugout on Wednesday night when he takes charge of the team for their game against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The Belgian manager was sacked on Sunday, just 24 hours after a 2-0 home defeat to St Mirren in the Premiership.
It was their second defeat at Ibrox in consecutive games following the Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Queen’s Park.
Rangers announced on Sunday that they had parted ways with Clement after 16 months.
Charai moved to Ibrox last month when he was appointed to work under Clement as assistant manager.
He joined French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg and has also worked at Al-faisaly, Beerschot, Sint-Truidense and OH Leuvens as a coach.
Charai also managed Morocco’s Under-23 side to the Africa Cup of Nations title.
