Motherwell striker Theo Bair has targeted more joy in the three remaining Premiership fixtures, after continuing his sizzling season with a double in the 4-1 win over Livingston.

The 24-year-old Canadian, who signed a two-year deal with the Steelmen last summer after leaving St Johnstone, netted a penalty in the 21st minute at Fir Park on Saturday following a VAR intervention which flagged a Mikey Devlin handball inside the box.

Well attacker Sam Nicholson fired in a thunderbolt from distance just before the break and Bair then scored his 15th goal of the season in the 68th minute with a diving header before Dan Casey knocked in a fourth in 74 minutes. Substitute Joel Nouble headed a reply two minutes later as Livi ended the game officially relegated.

Motherwell face Ross County and Hibernian away before finishing the campaign at home to St Johnstone and a confident Bair said: “The season’s not done. I’ve got more in me.

“There are still three games to go and I want to score more goals and we want to win the rest of our games. As simple as that.

“I never set a limit. Once you hit a goal, you set a new limit, right?

“So I wouldn’t say I surpassed anything. I am hungry for more and I just want to keep it going.

“The person doesn’t come without the collective. Everyone was excellent.

“We were unfortunate not to keep a clean sheet, but it was a great three points.

“I’ve said it from the beginning that our dressing room is amazing and even when the new additions came in, in January, they felt part of the team and no one felt left out.

“We are proud of the dressing room we have. We have shown some real resilience too because there have been some tough moments, especially in the last game (a 1-0 loss to Aberdeen).

“So to come back and have this performance has been amazing from us.”
