A late, late goal from Josh Campbell earned Hibernian a point as they drew 2-2 with Rangers in a match that saw two players from the visitors sent off.

James Tavernier gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot after Rocky Bushiri was judged to have fouled Antonio Colak but Hibs drew level through Martin Boyle.

Rangers regained the lead when Tom Lawrence scored with a thumping header from Borna Barisic’s cross but Giovanni van Bronckhort’s side soon found it hard to defend their advantage.

First John Lundstram was shown a straight red card for a lunge on Boyle, leaving the visitors with ten men.

Nine minutes later Alfredo Morelos was sent off by referee Willie Collum after catching Marijan Cabraja with a flailing arm.

Sustained pressure from Hibs in the final stages, looked like it was going to come to nothing but Campbell’s shot from outside the box beat Jon McLaughlin and earned his side a share of the points.

Rangers now head to Eindhoven for their Champions League date having dropped their first league points.
