Hibernian say they are still in talks with Rocky Bushiri and Junior Hoilett about extending their stay at Easter Road, as the club confirmed seven departures at the end of the season.
Bushiri and Hoilett both played important parts in Hibs’ resurgence that led to a third-place finish in the Premiership but the players’ existing contracts expire this month.
Hibernian have been in discussions about new deals for both, and are hopeful agreement can be reached for them to be part of David Gray’s squad for next season.
The club have also given updates on players leaving Easter Road this month, with seven members of the first team squad departing.
Striker Dwight Gayle has retired, while Max Boruc and Nohan Kenneh have been released.
Nectar Triantis, who was a stand-out player in green and white throughout the season, Josef Bursik, Hyeokkyu Kwon and Mykola Kuharevich have all returned to their parent clubs at the end of their loan spells.
A Hibs spokesperson said: “The club would like to thank all departing players for their hard work and contribution, wishing them all the best for the future.”
