The starting line-ups for the first Premiership game of the new season have been named as Hearts prepare to host Rangers at Tynecastle.
It’s a battle between last season’s second and third placed teams in the capital with both hoping to get off to the best possible start.
Managers Steven Naismith and Philippe Clement have decided on their teams for the game that kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday.
Naismith has started with Zander Clark in goals behind Rowles, Penrice, Kent, Taylor, Devlin, Dhanda, Grant, McKay, Vargas and Shankland.
Meanwhile Clement has Jack Butland in goals and a four man defence of Tavernier, Souttar, Davies, Ridvan, Diomande, Barron, Lawrence, Wright, Cortes and Dessers
It is the first of six fixtures taking place across the opening weekend of the 2024/25 top-flight season.
It will be followed by Motherwell and Ross County at Fir Park in what will be the only 3pm kick-off in the first Saturday of the season.
There will be another three games on Sunday with the Dundee derby taking place at Tannadic and St Mirren hosting Hibs in Paisley before Celtic get the defence of their title underway against Kilmarnock in Glasgow.
St Johnstone vs Aberdeen will complete the action in the opening weekend and the first of 38 fixtures between August and May.
