Hearts have been drawn to play either Linfield or FC Zurich in the Europa League qualifying play-off.
The Tynecastle side will be away from home in the first leg, with the return trip coming a week later.
The first leg of the play-off tie will be played on August 18, with the second leg on August 25.
Should the Scottish Cup finalists be unsuccessful in the play-off, they will go into the Europa Conference League group stage.
If the Edinburgh side do make it to the group stages for the first time in five years, they will be guaranteed a prize fund of around £3.5m.
Dundee United, meanwhile, will need to beat Riga or Gil Vicente to reach the Europa Conference League group stage, if they manage to navigate their way past Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
