Hearts have confirmed the signing of midfielder Jorge Grant from Peterborough United.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a three-year deal at the Tynecastle club ahead of the new Premiership season.

Grant played nine times for Peterborough last season as they were relegated from the English Championship to League One.

He previously played for Lincoln City where he scored 19 goals in 89 appearances and has also had spells at Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Luton Town and Mansfield.

The signing, which is subject to international clearance, is Robbie Neilson’s fifth of the summer window and has immediately joined up with his new teammates at the club’s pre-season training camp in Spain.

And the manager is delighted to welcome him to the Europe-bound Jambos.

Neilson said: “I’m really pleased to get Jorge in as we continue to build our squad for a historic season.

“He’s an experienced player who will bring dynamism and guile in the final third of the pitch and I’m really looking forward to working with him.

“The squad is starting to take shape but we’re not finished yet and I hope that in the weeks ahead we can continue to add quality to it.”
