Hearts have secured their place in the League Cup quarter finals draw with a win over Partick Thistle.

The Edinburgh side followed up their European heroics in midweek to run out 4-0 winners against the Championship opposition at Tynecastle on Sunday.

An own goal from Brian Graham put the home side 1-0 after 10 minutes and it was all one-way traffic from then on in.

On-loan defender Odeluga Offiah doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time with a debut goal as the Premiership side eased to victory.

Lawrence Shankland continued his good recent form to make it 3-0 and put the game beyond Thistle with the second half just three minutes old.

Japanese star Kyosuke Tagawa completed the scoring to make it 4-0 with 12 minutes left on the clock.

Hearts now face Greek side PAOK at Tynecastle in the first leg of their Europa Conference League play-off on Thursday before returning to league action with a game against Dundee at Dens Park next Sunday.
