Hearts have announced the summer signing of St Johnstone’s Josh McPake.
It was announced on Thursday that the 24-year-old winger has agreed a pre-contract with the William Hill Premiership leaders.
McPake is the current top scorer in the Scottish Championship with 13 goals as his side currently sit five points clear at the top of the table.
Hearts restored their six-point cushion at the top of the William Hill Premiership after a 2-0 victory over St Mirren on Wednesday night.
A Hearts statement read: “Heart of Midlothian is pleased to announce that Josh McPake will join the club in the summer.
“The winger has agreed to make the move to Tynecastle Park upon the expiration of his current contract with St Johnstone.
“A pacey and tricky wide man, 24-year-old Josh has been a revelation for the Perth Saints this season.
“The Championships’ top scorer, he’s bagged 14 goals in 26 appearances to date, which has helped fire St Johnstone five points clear at the top of the table.
“Come the end of the season, Josh will swap blue for maroon when he joins the Jambos for the next three years.”
