Hearts have announced that their former chairman and chief executive Chris Robinson has died.
The businessman presided over the Tynecastle club for 11 years, between 1994 and 2005.
He was at the helm when Hearts famously won the Scottish Cup by beating Rangers in 1998, the first time the Edinburgh club won the trophy in 42 years.
The club informed fans of the news on Twitter on Sunday afternoon, and passed their condolences on to Robinson’s wife Elizabeth and their family.
Hearts said in a statement: “The club is saddened to learn of the passing of former chairman and chief executive, Chris Robinson.
“Everyone at Hearts’ thoughts are with Chris’ wife Elizabeth and their family at this time.”
