The Scotland boss has freshened up his side after the dramatic 3-2 win over Israel on Saturday, aiming to land another three vital points in the push to secure the play-off place in Group F.
Grant Hanley returns to the side after suspension and Ryan Christie and Ryan Fraser also start in Torsvollur.
Craig Gordon is in goals behind a back three of Hanley, Kieran Tierney and Jack Hendry. Captain Andy Rovertson and Ryan Fraser are in the wing-back positions.
Scott McTominay moves into midfield alongside Billy Gilmour and John McGinn, with Ryan Christie playing off striker Lyndon Dykes.
