Scotland rugby player Hamish Watson will not play in Saturday’s Six Nations match against France after testing positive for Covid.

It comes as two members of the Scotland backroom team also tested positive for coronavirus and are self-isolating.

Watson’s positive test means Edinburgh back row Nick Haining will move into the starting XV, playing on the blindside with Rory Darge moving into the openside flanker position.

Saracens’ Andy Christie will now move into the matchday 23 and could make his Scotland debut if called on from the replacements.

Scotland will face France at Murrayfield in Edinburgh on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 2.15pm.
