Glasgow Warriors have confirmed that Fijian second row Leone Nakarawa will remain with the club until 2021.
Nakarawa, who was named as European player of the season in 2018, is in his second spell with Warriors, having returned to Glasgow in January.
The Fijian, who has 62 caps for his country, had initally agreed a short-term stay until the end of the 2019-20 season but has now agreed a deal until next year.
The 32-year-old is currently in Fiji awaiting the birth of his child but is training and will travel to Glasgow in due course.
Warriors head coach Danny Wilson was delighted with the deal, saying: “Leone is a world-class rugby player and a really exciting addition to Warriors squad for next season.
“His reputation as an attacking threat goes before him and as a coach I know from experience how difficult he is to prepare against.”
“Leone offers expertise and experience in a variety of positions in the pack and I know how popular he is with players and supports.
“I’m looking forward to working with him as we move forward into the new season and conclude the 2019/20 season.”
