Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila has kept his promise to strip to his underwear on winning the Major League Soccer Cup.

The New York City FC boss made good on his word to celebrate without his clothes should he lead the team to victory.

The 46-year-old Norwegian stripped to his underwear in front of the fans celebrating the win after a dramatic penalty shoot out against the Portland Timbers.

He then got down on the grass and did ten press-ups before lifting the trophy and roaring.

Responding on social media, Celtic FC said: “Huge congratulations from everyone at Celtic FC to our former manager Ronny Deila as he wins the MLS Cup with NYC FC.

“Well done to Ronny and also to assistant manager and former Celt Efrain Juarez and the NYC FC team.”
