Inverness have released captain Carl Tremarco after admitting the impact of the coronavirus pandemic had forced them to cut their squad more than they initially planned.
However, Aaron Doran, Nikolay Todorov, Brad McKay and Cammy Mackay have all agreed new deals.
Full-back Tremarco won the Scottish Cup and Challenge Cup during a seven-year stay with Caley Thistle, scoring the winner in the final of the latter, and took on the armband in 2018. The club thanked him for his “truly outstanding service”.
Charlie Trafford is also departing while Tom Walsh and Matheus Machado have rejected the offers of two-year contracts.
Caley Thistle also confirmed that Daniel Hoban, Donald Morrison, Gabriel Hastings, Ryan Fyffe, Harry Nicolson, Jack Brown, Ross Gunn and Roddy Kennedy would all exit at the end of June.
Before listing the departures, Inverness said: “It’s fair to say that if we were not in the middle of a global pandemic with no idea when football as we know it is due to re-start, there are players listed below who most certainly would have been offered new contracts.
“Unfortunately that is not now possible and so with something of a heavy heart we have to give the following update.”
St Johnstone-bound full-back Shaun Rooney and striker Jordan White, who has been linked with Motherwell, agreed pre-contracts with other clubs earlier in the year.
