Last season’s champions Hibernian also lost by two goals to nil at the home of the capital rivals Hearts.
Georgia Timms scored a penalty with 20 minutes remaining before Jessica Husbands sealed the win at Tynecastle Park.
Glasgow City kept up their 100% winning start to the season as they eased to a 5-0 victory over Montrose at Petershill.
Goals from Abi Harrison and Lana Golob put the home side two goals up at half-time before Erin McLaughlin, Mebae Tanaka, and Lisa Forrest completed the rout.
Meanwhile, Motherwell beat Hamilton 4-1 and Aberdeen drew 1-1 with Partick Thistle.
