Rangers will return to Ibrox sooner than expected as the club confirmed it would host their Premier Sports Cup tie with Dundee on home ground later this month.
Excluding the Copland Stand, where final concourse and seating works are ongoing, all areas of Ibrox will be open for the match on Saturday, September 21.
Season ticket holders from the Copland Stand will be offered an “exclusive window” to purchase seating elsewhere.
The continuous credit card scheme (CCCS) will return for the game for all supporters, excluding those in the Copland Stand.
Construction delays have meant that Rangers have been playing games at Hampden until their own ground is ready.
Ibrox chairman John Bennett had marked the Premiership match against Hibernian on September 28 as the target for their return, but had said that was “aspirational” with many fans fearing a longer spell at the national stadium.
Last week, manager Philippe Clement said everything was being done to have Ibrox ready as soon as possible but that there were no guarantees about a date.
Details for the Hibernian match on September 29 will be confirmed “in due course”, the club said.
