Alistair Johnston has returned to Celtic training after being out for nearly two months with a hamstring injury.
The right-back was stretchered off during the 0-0 draw with Kazakhstan side Kairat Almaty in the first leg of their Champions League play-off on August 20.
He could now be set to return to the squad for this weekend’s Premiership game against Dundee at Dens Park.
The 27-year-old has missed the last nine games as a result of the hamstring tear.
News of his return, which is ahead of schedule, will be a welcome boost for Brendan Rodgers as Celtic look to reclaim the top-spot from league leaders Hearts.
The Premiership returns on Saturday following a two-week international break.
Celtic are in European action the following Thursday, when they play Sturm Graz at Parkhead, before playing the Jambos at Tynecastle on Sunday, October 26.
