Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has called five players up to his squad ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations clash with England.

Magnus Bradbury, Alex Craig, Blair Kinghorn, WP Nel and Hamish Watson have all joined the squad, replacing Josh Bayliss, Javan Sebastian and Ross McCann.

Bayliss misses out due to concussion but Townsend has increased his back-row options with Bristol Bears flanker Bradbury and Watson, who has just made his 150th appearance for Edinburgh.

Kinghorn is welcomed back to the fold after an injury that saw him miss the first two games of the championship, and is already in training and hoping to be involved at Murrayfield.

Scarlets’ second row Craig joins the group following injury to Richie Gray, while WP Nel is fit again after injury and a direct replacement for Sebastian.

Darcy Graham remains out of the squad after sustaining a groin injury last week and is subject to further assessment.

Scotland began their campaign with a 27-26 win over Wales but fell to a 20-16 defeat against France at Murrayfield in their second game.

Following this weekend’s home clash with England, Townsend and his players face trips to Italy and then Ireland.
