Scotland’s Fin Graham has won silver in the C3 3000m Individual Pursuit at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The 21-year-old from Strathpeffer finished in a time of 3:22.00 just behind GB team-mate Jaco Van Gass.
Both had broken the world record in qualifying, the longest standing record in all Paralympic track cycling events.
Graham joked he had the shortest-held world record after Van Gass beat it just after him.
Reacting to the result, chair of Sportscotland, Mel Young, said: “That was an incredible performance from Fin to win silver at his first-ever Paralympic Games.
“He will now rightly be regarded as one of the world’s leading para-cyclists after that race and should be very proud. This medal is about much more than one ride, it is the result of years of hard work.”
Scotland’s Aileen McGlynn, piloted by Helen Scott, won silver in the Women’s B 1000m Time Trial at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Aberdeen’s Toni Shaw won a medal in the S9 400m freestyle – the first British athlete to enjoy success in the pool in Tokyo.
