Scotland fans getting ready to back the team at Euro 2024 have been shocked to find the names of England players on the back of their new kits.

The fake strips were apparently ordered online from China for a cut-price of £15, which represents a saving of around £70.

But the Tartan Army customers discovered something had been sacrificed for the knock-down prices when the tops arrived with names of players who will be appearing for Gareth Southgate’s squad including Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The real version of the new Scotland kit, released by Adidas in time for this summer’s tournament, costs around £75 from genuine retail outlets and £85 to come with the official Euro 2024 branding which have been replicated on the fake version.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, account Scotland’s Coefficient posted a picture of the kits on Wednesday.

“Mate just sent me these pictures – the dangers of buying fake tops,” the account wrote.

“Apparently several people have been getting a very English surprise when they open their £15 parcel from China.”

Scotland will take part in the opening game of this summer’s tournament when they play hosts Germany in Munich on June 14.
