A Scottish League Two manager has been sacked for “gross misconduct” following an internal investigation.
Elgin City, who finished sixth in the fourth tier, previously confirmed that Allan Hale had been temporarily removed from his position.
Hale was appointed, along with his assistant Stefan Laird, on December 5, 2023, in a bid to save the black and whites from relegation.
This season, the club narrowly missed out on the League One promotion play-off spots.
Elgin City have now confirmed that the club’s investigation has concluded and Hale’s employment has been terminated as a result.
The Moray side is now working to appoint a new manager
A statement from the club read: “Following the conclusion of an internal investigation conducted in accordance with the club’s policies and procedures, we can confirm that the men’s first-team manager has been dismissed with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct.”
