Dundee have signed Leicester City player Sammy Braybrooke on a season long loan.
The midfielder has joined Tony Docherty’s side for the duration of the 2024/25 campaign and could make his debut against St Mirren at Dens Park on Saturday.
Despite being part of several matchday squads, he has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the Foxes.
He made his debut for the first-team in a League Cup match against Newport County under then manager Brendan Rodgers but suffered a bad injury soon after that curbed his progression.
The 20-year-old has represented England at all youth levels from under-18s to under-21s and captained the under-19s for a period in 2022.
Dundee confirmed the signing on Wednesday.
Speaking after joining the Dark Blues, Braybrooke said: “It feels amazing to sign, it’s a great club with lots of ambition.
“I found out Dundee were interested in the middle of the window and I had a few other clubs interested but ultimately I chose Dundee because of the ambition of the club and the opportunity to play in the Scottish Premiership.
“The project that Dundee has got here and where they want to go really attracted me.
“I saw how the club did last season and they want to build on that. I had a number of conversations with the manager and he just really filled me with confidence, he thinks I will fit into the team well and I think with the way I play it will be a very good fit.”
