Dundee have announced the signing of goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara on a deal until the end of the season.
The former Kilmarnock keeper was a free agent after leaving Rugby Park at the end of last season and will now compete for the number one spot in Steven Pressley’s Dundee side.
O’Hara began his career at Manchester United’s academy and had loan spells with Stockport, Morecambe, Macclesfield and Burton in his first few years as a professional.
A permanent move to Burton Albion in 2020 was followed by stints at Fleetwood Town and Colchester United before he signed for Killie two years ago.
After discussions with Dundee in recent weeks, he said he’s delighted to have his future settled.
“I’m delighted to get the deal over the line, it’s a big club with a rich history, “O’Hara told Dundee’s official website.
“I knew there was interest over the last few weeks; we’ve had a few conversations and then managed to get it over the line.
“I didn’t want to rush into anything, and I like to think that I did that, and I’m delighted to get the deal here as I think it is a good fit.
“I spoke with the gaffer and Glen (Johnson) the goalie coach, and players who have played here in the past, and they all spoke highly of the club.
“I’ve played at Dens before with Kilmarnock and it’s a good stadium with good fans, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
