Hearts will play Copenhagen and Heidenheim in the first phase of the Conference League.
They will also take on Omonoia, Cercle Brugge, Petrocub and Dinamo Minsk.
The Tynecastle club dropped into the third tier competition after being defeated by Viktoria Plzen in the Europa playoff.
Hearts were in Thursday’s draw when they learned their six opponents in the league phase.
Steven Naismith’s side will host German club Heidenheim, Omonoia from Cyprus and Moldovan side Petrocub and travel to play Copenhagen in Denmark, Cercle Bugge in Belgium and take on Dinamo Minsk in Belarus.
All 36 teams in the competition are in a single table and play six games each, with three at home and three away.
The top eight ranked teams qualify directly for the round of 16.
The sides finishing 9th to 24th go into a play-off round and the bottom nine teams bow out of the competition.
