Steve Clarke has named his Scotland team to take on Serbia in the Euro 2020 play-off with Ryan Christie and Kieran Tierney returning to the side.

Both players were forced to miss games in the last international break after being told to self-isolate following contact with Stuart Armstrong, who tested positive for coronavirus.

National team boss Clarke has brought both players back into the side at the first opportunity, handing them starts in the game that could see the men’s team reach a major finals for the first time since 1998.

Tierney replaces Andy Considine, while Christie comes in for Ryan Fraser, who was unable to join the squad through injury.

Captain Andy Robertson also returns after suspension, replacing Greg Taylor/

Scotland start with David Marshall in goal and a three-man defence of Tierney, Declan Gallagher and Scott McTominay.

Robertson and Stephen O’Donnell are the wing-backs, with Ryan Jack and Callum McGregor in the heart of the midfield.

John McGinn and Christie play in support of striker Lyndon Dykes.
