Celtic are preparing for their final game in this season’s Women’s Champions League as they aim for their first win in the competition.

The Hoops take on Dutch side FC Twente in the Netherlands on Tuesday before attention turns solely to domestic matters for the rest of the campaign.

Despite some encouraging performances, Elena Sadiku’s side is rock bottom in Group B, with five defeats from five games.

Following back-to-back defeats from English Super League leaders Chelsea, home and away losses to Spanish giants Real Madrid, and Twente’s opening game victory at New Douglas Park, the Scottish champions are currently on 0 points and a goal difference of -13.

Tuesday’s opponents have an identical goal difference and only three points on the board, so Celtic could still jump up to third if they get their first win.

The game at De Grolsch Veste stadium kicks off at 5.45pm.

After that, Celtic will will return to SWPL action with a game against Spartans on Sunday.

The defending champions are currently fifth in the Scottish top-flight but have two games in hand over the top three of Glasgow City, Rangers and Hearts, and one in hand over fourth-placed Hibernian.
