Celtic have launched a fresh bid for Norwich City forward Adam Idah.
The 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international spent the second-half of last season on loan at the Hoops and helped them to a league and cup double.
After joining in January he scored a string of important goals including the winner in the 1-0 Scottish Cup final victory over Rangers.
The Premiership champions are now keen to bring him back to Parkhead on a permanent deal as they look to bolster their attacking options.
The clubs are in discussions over the potential move.
Celtic had a £4.5m for the player turned down by the English Championship side last month.
Idah scored a total of nine goals in 19 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side last season.
Following the departure of Hyeongyu Oh the club have been left with only one recognised striker in Kyogo Furuhashi.
They have brought in three new players in the summer with the signings of Kasper Schmeichel, Viljami Sinisalo and Paulo Bernardo.
