SNS GroupCeltic have been handed a tough draw in the group stages of the Women’s Champions League.
Elena Sadiku’s side qualified for the continent’s elite competition with a 3-0 aggregate win over Ukrainian champions Vorskla.
They will now play Chelsea, Real Madrid and FC Twente.
Chelsea have won five English league titles in a row and finished runners-up in the Champions League in 2021.
They have a squad full of international players including England’s Lucy Bronze, Australia forward Sam Kerr and Scotland winger Erin Cuthbert.
FC Twente have won four out of the last five Dutch titles and Real Madrid have a host of top players including Scotland star Caroline Weir.
Celtic became the first Scottish side to reach the group stages on Thursday night when they defeated Vorskla 2-0 at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie.
Glasgow City have reached the quarter-finals of the tournament twice, but that was before the groups were introduced in 2021.
The dates and times of the fixtures are yet to be announced.
On Friday Celtic also announced the women’s team will be moving to New Douglas Park in Hamilton as their home ground and will play one of their Champions League games at Celtic Park, the home of the men’s team in Parkhead.
