Celtic have completed the signing of teenage Fulham striker Callum Osmand.

He becomes the club’s fourth signing of the season following the arrivals of Kieran Tierney, Ross Doohan and Benjamin Nygren.

The teenage forward caught the eye of the champions with his performances at Premier League 2 level and Osmand has now signed a four-year deal, with Fulham receiving a training compensation fee.

He’ll now go into the first team squad ahead of the new season and look to impress manager Brendan Rodgers as he continues his development.

Osmand has been at Fulham since he was 13 and signed professional terms with the London club in 2023.

Last season, he scored ten goals in 17 appearances at Premier League 2 level, adding four assists and earning a nomination for the league’s Player of the Year. He also netted two in the National League Cup and one in the Vertu Trophy.

Osmand also scored five goals in the Premier League International Cup, which is a tournament launched by the Premier League for Under-21 sides from across Europe.

When the move was confirmed on Monday, Rodgers said: “We are really pleased to bring Callum to Celtic. He is a highly-rated, talented young player.

“He has some real attributes. He’s a quick and powerful striker and I’m really looking forward to working with him. I’m sure he can be really successful with us.”

Speaking to Celtic TV, Callum Osmand revealed he had sounded out former Hoops star Matt O’Riley for advice on the move.

He said: “It feels unbelievable to be here and I am so happy to be here. It is a big step for me, and I am excited to get going.

“It’s a massive move and I can’t wait to step out at Celtic Park in front of all the fans.

“When I spoke to the manager, he was really positive. The plan and pathway he has set out for the club is top, so it’s exciting with the pathway he has for me.

“He has set out what he wants from me, and it is all really positive, so I can’t wait to get going now.

“I’ve also spoken to Matt O’Riley on the phone, so he has given me advice. He was telling me about how big the club is, how amazing the fans are and it’s a new life really. So excited is definitely the word for me.”
