Getty ImagesCeltic are closing in on the signing of Sweden winger Benjamin Nygren after agreeing a transfer fee with Danish side Nordsjælland.
The 23-year-old winger has emerged as one of the club’s top targets as they look to strengthen their squad for next week’s title defence and European campaign.
Personal terms have been agreed with Nygren and barring any late hitches, he’ll join Brendan Rodgers’ squad for pre-season training.
Nygren, who can play on the left or right wing, scored 16 goals in 32 appearances for his club last season and broke into the Sweden national team.
He made his international debut in March against Luxembourg, and Nygren went on to start Sweden’s next three friendlies, scoring against Hungary and Northern Ireland.
