Cameron Carter-Vickers has returned to the Celtic squad and will be available to play against Dundee United at the weekend.

The defender has captained the side over the last few weeks following an injury to Callum McGregor but was missing from the team that lost 5-1 to Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Friday that the USA international is in his plans for the Premiership game at Celtic Park on Saturday.

He said: “The boys trained and everyone is good. Cameron got through training, so he is available.

“With the rest, obviously the other night would have taken a fair bit out of them, but they all trained. I will make a couple of changes to the team but, apart from Callum, everyone else is good to go.”

Jota, who scored Celtic’s consolation against Real Madrid, could make his first start after returning from injury in last week’s win at Livingston.

The Hoops can go seven points clear at the top of the league if they get the win against the side the beat 9-0 earlier in the season.

Meanwhile Postecoglou says he was delighted with the team effort put in over the last few weeks as he was named the SPFL Glen’s Premiership Manager of the Month for October.

He said: “I have been really pleased again with the consistency we have shown across the period, delivering a really high level of performance with excellent results.

“As always, we have faced a number of stiff tests in games but have ensured that we have stuck to our own path, followed our own processes and achieved excellent results.

“I am particularly pleased that so many different players across the whole squad have contributed so much across these important games.

“Everyone at the Club again shares in this award and we now look forward to the remaining challenges before the break.”
