Celtic captain Callum McGregor has praised the squad’s mentality as they prepare for one final push for a historic treble.
The midfielder played a key role again as the Hoops beat Rangers 1-0 in the Scottish Cup to set up a final against Inverness in June.
They are now just one win away from clinching the league title, with five games left, and if they can make it a clean sweep with victory over the Championship club.
A win in that one will see them overtake the amount of domestic trebles won by Rangers as they move on to eight.
But the skipper insists they will remain taking it one game at a time and are now fully focused on getting a win at Tynecastle next week that will cement their position as Premiership champions for the second year in a row.
He said: “We’re not silly, we understand what’s what’s potentially ahead.
“But I think the reason why we’ve been so good is the mentality within the group every day, you know, we never take anything for granted.
“We come in and we work as hard as we possibly can.
“We understand that we can always get better. There’s aspects of the game today where we could be better, so we’re not ignorant enough to think that we’re the finished article and we just roll up and these things happen.
“So it’s a combination, a lot of hard work and sacrifice.
“We just do the same again, you know, enjoy it today, but we reset when we come back to work and we’ve got four or five really exciting weeks that we can hopefully finish off a really good season.”
Celtic play Hearts next Sunday before taking on Rangers again in the sixth and final Old Firm game of the season the following weekend.
