Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, Hibernian’s David Gray and John McGlynn of Falkirk have been shortlisted for the Manager of the Year award in Scotland.
Rodgers’ side are on the brink of a domestic treble, having secured the Premier Sports Cup and the William Hill Premiership title – the club’s 13th in 14 seasons – ahead of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen at Hampden Park on May 24.
The Northern Irishman last won the award after Celtic’s invincible treble in 2016-17.
Gray had a troubled start to his first season at Hibs, finding his side bottom of the table, but the 36-year-old has turned around the club’s fortunes and with four league fixtures remaining, they sit in third place, ahead of Aberdeen on goal difference.
McGlynn, who won the award from his peers last season for guiding Falkirk to an unbeaten League One campaign, is bidding for a second successive promotion and the Bairns could win the Championship on Friday night when they host bottom side Hamilton.
McGlynn also won the award with Raith Rovers in 2011 and a third success would be unprecedented.
PFA Scotland, in conjunction with the Scottish Managers and Coaches Association, also announced that Rangers’ Jo Potter, Hibernian’s Grant Scott, Leanne Ross of Glasgow City, and Motherwell’s Paul Brownlie are on the shortlist for the women’s Manager of the Year award.
Rangers, Hibs, and Glasgow City are battling it out for the SWPL title.
Rangers, who have already won the SWPL Cup, take on Glasgow City in next month’s Scottish Cup final.
Brownlie guided Motherwell to a top-six finish in the league and to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
The awards will be presented at Sunday’s PFA Scotland Awards ceremony in Glasgow.
