Scotland defender Grant Hanley has left Norwich to join Sky Bet League One leaders Birmingham on a contract until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old was captain of the Canaries but had been restricted to just three Championship appearances this term.
Hanley has won 59 international caps, with his most recent outing for his country coming in the 2-1 Nations League win away to Poland in November.
“I knew January was going to be a chance for me to move somewhere and get more minutes on the pitch,” he told Birmingham’s website.
“Obviously the team are in a fantastic position in the league and still in a couple of cup competitions as well so there are a lot of games to be played.
“Chris Davies (Birmingham’s manager) explained where this club is trying to go, so it was a no-brainer for me to want to be part of a club like this.”
Dumfries-born Hanley, who featured in all three of Scotland’s group games at Euro 2024, began his career in the Premier League with Blackburn.
He won promotion to the top flight in 2017 during a season-long stay with Newcastle before lifting the Championship title twice more in his time at Norwich.
