Motherwell defender Bevis Mugabi has his eyes on the top six as he prepares for a pivotal cinch Premiership game against Aberdeen at Fir Park.
Two wins in succession, including a rare victory at Ibrox, have left Motherwell four points off sixth spot with four games left until the split.
Three of those games are at Fir Park and Motherwell face the two teams directly above them, Dundee and Hibernian.
Stuart Kettlewell’s side can set up a real top-six push if they beat Aberdeen but defeat would allow their visitors to move two points behind them as the Dons steel themselves for a relegation battle.
Mugabi said: “We are definitely looking up. The table is very, very tight and anything can happen in the next few games and it’s very, very open. We just have to focus on ourselves.
“I’m not looking down, to be honest, I am looking up, always.
“It’s good we have a few good results in the bag in the last couple of weeks, so that’s put us in a good place.
“It’s a big motivation to reach the top six and it’s still very, very possible. Anything can happen.”
Mugabi has only missed two league games this season but he remains in the dark over his future beyond the summer, like many other Motherwell players who are approaching the end of their contract.
“My job is just to keep on impressing,” said the 28-year-old, who was called up again by Uganda this week ahead of two friendlies.
“I just have to wait for the club to have a conversation with myself and just wait and see what happens.
“All I can do is perform for the manager, for the team and what will be, will be.
“I think it’s been a better part for me in the season recently. I have been performing well and the team have been doing well and getting results.
“It’s probably been the best part of the season for me, for sure.”
