Scotland captain Andy Robertson is aiming to make history this summer by reaching the knockout stages of Euro 2024.
The Liverpool left-back will lead the national team into the tournament in Germany as they look to get out of the groups for the first time ever.
Steve Clarke’s side will take on the hosts in Munich for the opening game on June 14 before playing Switzerland and Hungary in their quest to reach the last-16.
Robertson was part of a group of player’s who visited a children’s hospital in Glasgow on Friday afternoon.
He said: “A lot of us where in the squad for the last Euros, so we have experience of playing in these tournaments.
“So it’s up to us to try and show that. We gained experience from the last time, none of us had ever been to one.
“The fact we have plenty now who have been through it then hopefully we can dip into that experience and use it to our advantage and make it a successful tournament.
“We have a lot of quality (in the squad) the quality is going up and up every time, we are in a good spot just now, the squad is strong and playing at high levels but it’s now all about us coming together and showing that on the pitch.
“The team is hungry to push for more and get good results. It’s now all about us pushing to get results on the biggest stage and hopefully we can do that.
“We try to look at ourselves and know if we can get out the group we can create history in this country and that is our aim to leave a legacy like that behind and be the first team to do that.
“That’s all we focus on, obviously we have seen smaller nations with smaller populations that is being successful at the Euros and of course you can dip into that but we just need to focus on ourselves.
“We have to look at we want to achieve as a team and that has always been our aim.
“We are going over to perform at our best on the biggest stage and if we can do that and reach the levels we know we are capable of then hopefully we can create history.”
