Andy Murray will play Yoshihito Nishioka in the opening round of the US Open, which begins next week.
The Scot, who won the tournament in 2012, is a wild card entry for his return to Flushing Meadows.
Ranked at 134 in the world, he comes up against the world number 48 in Nishioka.
Murray goes into the major having been boosted by a run to the last 16 of the Western & Southern Open. He defeated Frances Tiafoe and world number seven Alexander Zverev before losing 6-2 6-2 to Milos Raonic.
