Adam Idah says the love and support shown to him during his loan spell at Celtic left him convinced that the Hoops were the right club for him.
The Republic of Ireland international sealed a permanent move from Norwich on Wednesday when he put pen to paper on a five-year-deal at the Scottish champions.
He enjoyed a successful six-month stint at Parkhead in the second-half of last season and scored a string of vital goals, including the Scottish Cup final winner, towards lifting a league and cup double.
And after a drawn out transfer saga between Celtic and the English Championship side throughout the summer, he is delighted to have finally sealed his return to Glasgow and believes it is the best place for him to flourish.
Speaking on Thursday, he said: “When I came here the first time, the love and support I got from everyone was amazing.
“And for me to feel that connection with everyone was really important to me. And I know, in terms of that connection I had with the fans and the staff and the players, that obviously helped me out on the pitch.
“So for me, I think to develop my career and if I want to do the best in my career, this is the right club for me.
“I think it was so comfortable for me coming in the first time, you know, the lads welcoming me and speaking with Brendan and all the staff, the fans, how they treated me, it was the easiest transition ever.
“I settled in quite quick and obviously then playing the games, scoring goals, it was amazing. And I’ve always wanted that feeling.
“I probably didn’t get – didn’t have that feeling at Norwich which is unfortunate. But look, I’m at a great club now. It’s where I wanted to be and I’m just delighted to get going.”
The 23-year-old could make his second Celtic debut this weekend in the League Cup against Hibernian in Parkhead.
